The former host of “The Apprentice” turned Republican candidate is no stranger to controversy and media attention, having dabbled in just about everything. He is a perfect example of a man with too much money and time, but what exactly is it that puts him into the spotlight many have wondered.

If there’s anything notable about “The Donald” besides his facial expressions, it is definitely his mouth. Even before his decision to run for President, Trump has expressed his feelings about everything, and he has a lot to say, even more so now that he has an avid audience.

Needless to say his unfiltered mouth has caused quite the controversy.

Megyn Kelly said it best with her following statement in Fox’s GOP debate Aug., 2015: “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women.”

“You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals. Your Twitter account … has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?” Kelly asked.

Many of his supporters like Trump is unwavered in letting the public know his opinions. Trump himself has been on record stating “I could shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.” It is this kind of confidence which draws in viewers.

Whether it’s a full-fledged supporter or a rage-induced hater, someone is watching or hearing about Trump, waiting to see his rise or fall.

Because so many people are divided by Trump is what makes him the talk of the Presidential campaign. There are others like Ben Carson or Hillary Clinton, but honestly no one cares because Trump steals every show.

“I agree with his viewpoints,” Harrison states about why he likes Donald Trump.

While Trump gets away with running his mouth in his presidential campaign, it raises the question is this who America needs as its President? Most seem to think so, being what he argues against aligns with what most have been arguing about for years.

The Washington Post had psychologists survey Trump supporters and their results stated many liked him because he “talked big”, helped them think things were possible even if they were not, and liked how he was someone who “looked like them” voicing their own opinions.

Although Trump is not the best person for President, it could be argued he is what America as a country needs. In a way he is similar to President Obama in his speech, obviously they are not in any way alike, but both make those who watch and support them feel like their is hope even when there may not be.

So whether or not you hate Donald Trump, he is famous for many things. His business-like mentality, his assertion into mainstream media, and now his presidential campaign. He is currently most noted for the latter, not just because he can blabber away about anyone and anything, but because in that blabber people find a man they know won’t hesitate to stand against what he doesn’t believe in, regardless  if others agree with him. And that is what makes Trump truly famous.
