Coca-Cola 'the real thing'

In today's society there are many debates. For example,  Trump vs Clinton or debates about which celebrity artist has the better “squad”, Taylor Swift vs Adele. In the nation and worldwide, one of the main debates is Coca-Cola vs Pepsi debating if Coca-Cola is better than Pepsi. The answer is Coca-Cola is overall greater than Pepsi.


Coca-Cola was created in 1886 in Atlanta. Seven years later Pepsi was created in North Carolina as a direct competitor. Since then, Coca-Cola and Pepsi have been fighting against each other to be the greater cola. This is now known as the Cola War.


When choosing a side, people are choosing which cola they feel should be the world's leading cola. Overall Coca-Cola has more evidence and has better characteristics to why it is the greater cola.


Coca-Cola has a better working company with greater achievements compared to Pepsi.


Throughout the years Coca-Cola and Pepsi have both created worldwide companies. Coca-Cola has created many products such as Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta, Dasani and many more. Pepsi has created their own line of products such as Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, Aquafina and more.
Through all these products Coca-Cola and Pepsi have become a household names all over the world. Even though Pepsi is a worldwide marketer, Coca-Cola has sold more Coca-Cola products than Pepsi.


Coca-Cola controls 42 percent of the total carbonated soft drink market, compared with Pepsi's 31 percent, according to Beverage Digest. Coca-Cola and Diet Coke both sold more than Pepsi in 2014. Therefore people all over the world choose Coca-Cola over Pepsi.


In a good product, there is always a good company to support it. Coca-Cola has a better equity of $31.3 billion than Pepsi’s equity of $21.5 billion according to marketing expert Brandon Gaille.


Brandon Gaille says that Coca-Cola has more assets of $72.9 billion rather than Pepsi’s $68.2 billion. On account Coca-Cola has more equity and greater amount of assets than Pepsi, Coca-Cola is a more respectful and successful company.


As the Cola War fights in profits and marketing, they also fight over social media.


In 1922 Coca-Cola launched one of their most valuable icons, the Polar Bear, and in 1931, Coca-Cola began utilizing Santa Claus in its marketing. The Polar Bear and Santa Claus were added to bring joy to customers and a great number of profits.


These two icons were and still are original creations. But in 2011 Pepsi tried to take these two creations and make them turn against Coca-Cola with the “Summer Time is Pepsi Time” slogan. This showed that Pepsi has no originality and lacks creativity that Coca-Cola has.


With these advertisements both Coca-Cola and Pepsi must have a superior product. Coca-Cola jumps in the lead with better health.


Coca-Cola is better for people as it has 140 calories compared to Pepsi’s 150. Coca-Cola also has less sugar with 39 grams vs Pepsi’s 41 grams. Pepsi has 41 grams of carbohydrate compared to Coca-Cola’s 39. These are all factors which can and will contribute to people's health.


Even though we must think which is more healthy, popularity and taste are still factors to why Coca-Cola is better.


After doing a twitter survey, 77 percent of voters voted Coca-Cola better, and 23 percent voted Pepsi better. The survey shows how more people choose Coke which gives evidence that Coca-Cola is more significant.


We can also tell Coca-Cola is more popular with the fact Blythewood High promotes and sells Coca-Cola products instead on Pepsi.


“Our decision had nothing to do with taste. We have had a good relationship with the company for over five years. The local management has students at BHS, too. Until there is a serious complaint, we will likely stay with Coke,” said David Coyne, Blythewood vending machine supervisor.


Soda is one of the joys of growing up and a simple pleasure in life. That's why it is important to make sure to pick the best one to make life enjoyable.


Coca-Cola has shown why it is the best cola, not just nationally but worldwide. Coca-Cola has a better foundation and company, more creative advertisements, better taste and health and has the majority vote over Pepsi.

With this the debate of which cola is better, Coca-Cola or Pepsi, Coca-Cola is clearly the better cola in the world.
