Sunday, Sept. 17, Blythewood student Lauren Moak was crowned “Teen Miss Capital City” in a preliminary pageant for Little Miss South Carolina held at Lexington Middle School.

Moak has been working hard to get to this point and was very happy when she won the title.

“Winning this title was great for me, I have been working hard with my coach to prepare for this pageant, and to see the work payed off feels incredible,” Moak said.

Her title was one out of six titles given at the pageant. Moak will now work to compete in the state competition in July 2018 with her platform as epilepsy awareness and education. Until then she will be involved in many community service projects and will keep working with her platform.

Little Miss South Carolina state pageant will be held on July 14-21, 2018 at Hartsville Center Theatre.
