McDowell makes student life interesting

BY LAUREN LENKER, Junior

BLYTHEWOOD-- Just like the many students who attend Blythewood High School, David McDowell is one student in his crowd of peers who is not as
ordinary as most students.

McDowell is a sophomore at BHS, and he has a very outgoing personality that shows he is almost always happy.

“David is an extremely outgoing, hilarious, and just a flat out amazing guy. Whenever I see him, he always makes me laugh and can just make me feel 100% better on a bad day” junior Rachel Reid said.

On April 24, 1999, McDowell was born in Haßfurt, Germany, but he would end up moving to multiple parts of the world.

“I've lived in one, two, three, four, five places I think, yes I'm pretty sure” McDowell said.

McDowell has lived in many different places throughout Germany and many different parts of the United States.

The McDowell family consists of his father, his mother (a German native), and his younger brother.

McDowell likes to spend his free time playing video games or participating in year-round swim team at the Jeep-Roger’s YMCA while loving the taste of sugary foods.

“I like to eat pretty much anything that has sugar in it” McDowell said.

Swimming has been one of McDowell’s hobbies for the past couple of years.

McDowell participated in his first year of BHS swim team this past year and he successfully got his first varsity letter.

“I used to take him to swim practice along with some of the other swimmers.  We would always have a good time in the car because David would always say something funny or lighten the mood.  David would always make us laugh” junior Audrey Cutlip said.

McDowell has a very outgoing personality which gives him the opportunity to have make friends easily and have multiple friends.

McDowell is one out of many unique students in the BHS student body.
