HOSA Attends State Leadership Conference

The Blythewood High School Health Occupations Students of America group attended the state

leadership conference.  It was the largest showing of students in HOSA history with just under 1500 students competing. Placing in the top three allows students the opportunity to compete at the national conference in Anaheim, California later in June.  The BHS HOSA had a great showing with two students qualifying for the national conference and several other students finishing in the top ten.

Hannah Gafford - 2nd place (Extemporaneous Writing); $500 Health Science Education Scholarship

Angel Rispress - 3rd place (Physical Therapy)

Caroline Armstrong - top 10 finish (Transcultural Health Care)

Courtney Stutzman - top 10 (Veterinary Science)

Diamond Brown, Lauren Lenker, Rachel Reid - top 10 (Public Service Announcement)

Alex Johnson, Vanessa Kelly, Taylor Kemp - top 10 (Health Education)
