Students Stress Finding Parking Spaces in the Morning

BY STEPHEN DAUWAY II , Sophomore
BLYTHEWOOD -- The recent enrollment of students at Blythewood High School has caused a large increase in parking on campus. Most students at Blythewood High School find there always late or arriving at school just before the bell.

"Sophomores park in the stadium parking lot due to space in the much larger student parking lot, causing more traffic," Football coach Craig China said.

China believes that this has caused traffic to rise on on campus, as well as off campus.

English teacher Mary Hall said due to rise in student enrollment and Blythewood having close to 2000 kids arrive every morning is a big factor when it comes to traffic.

"Most definitely it makes it hard for me to get in without there being a wait at the entrance," Hall said.

"I arrive to school early to avoid all the traffic and get good parking," Blythewood Biology teacher Kimberly Scott said.

According to Scott, almost 12 students from her first period come to class late due to not being able to find a space in the student parking lot.
