BLYTHEWOOD-- Blythewood High School is proud to congratulate Elizabeth Litchford, Brandon Reeder, and Meghan Sonatore for being named South Carolina Teaching Fellows.
The Teaching Fellows program recruits talented high school seniors into the teaching profession and helps them develop leadership qualities.
Each year, the program provides Fellowships for up to 200 high school seniors who have exhibited high academic achievement, a history of service to their school and community, and a desire to teach in South Carolina.
Teaching Fellows is administered by CERRA (Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention and Advancement).
Teaching Fellows participate in advanced enrichment programs at Teaching Fellows Institutions, have additional professional development opportunities, and are involved with communities and businesses throughout the state. They receive up to $24,000 while they complete a degree leading to teacher certification.
Each Teaching Fellow student is matched with a South Carolina college or university. Elizabeth Litchford will be completing the Teaching Fellows program at Winthrop University, Brandon Reeder at College of Charleston, and Meghan Sonatore at University of South Carolina.
