BLYTHEWOOD--Why do students take so many notes in class? Why are notes so long to take?

“My way that I tell students to write their notes is to write in the regular way, but when they go home they should look over them to make sure that they have the right information,” said English Teacher, Allison Wilkins.

With note taking it helps recognize the main idea or key points on the school subject like for English with poetry students take notes about what is the main purpose of poetry.

“With note that I think they are important because they help understand the right information about the subject and if we have a discussion about the students will be able to know exactly what to say,” said English Teacher Allison Wilkins.

The number one way of taking notes is to not copy information directly from the textbook, but instead just summarize the facts in your own point of view. This is what Freshman Shaila Curl said.

“With note taking it helps to know the information about the subject to maybe prepare you for a quiz that may come,” stated, Freshman, Shaila Curl.

“Note taking helps learning skills just basically having the information without the information it affects the students lives and their learning ability.

Most teachers ask their students to include their thoughts to help make sure that they have the right information and ask themselves how could they use this information in their assignments.

“The way I right notes is in a T-chart with the things I know and what I don’t know, ”said Freshman, Makayla Martin.
